OrangePixel has done it again. For those of you who were addicted to Meganoid and perhaps almost went insane trying to beat it, we at BB10Apps suggest that you get ready for round two with Meganoid 2: Grandpa’s Chronicles. What makes this game awesome and unique is the old school pixel-style art which is influenced by the games of the 80s and 90s. The warning from OrangePixel with regards to this game is that “THIS GAME IS NOT EASY!” Meganoid 2 comes with 70 levels of intense, non-stop gameplay with chiptune and sound effects. When you complete a level you earn a level star and if you complete it within the time limit, then you earn the time-trophy. In order to obtain the treasure trophy, you have to find the hidden treasure in every level. This BlackBerry app is a survival of the fittest game, set in an environment where your character (Grandpa Meganoid) is going to have to outrun tombs, arrows, boulders, snakes, traps and bats.
The interesting thing about this entire concept is that OrangePixel took ideas from movies such as Indiana Jones, The Librarian and Tomb Raider. It is interesting to play a PlayBook app that is influenced by all three great adventurers. The levels for this game may be short but they are difficult and you will find that you have to try multiple times in order to complete them and move on. You really need to bring your A-game if you hope to reach the very end. But then again, that might not be the end as OrangePixel intends to add more levels thus, this game may be one of your longer lasting PlayBook apps. Share this game with your friends and enjoy the adventure.
